Montessori Foundation Course

AMI Montessori Foundation Course

Course Description

A prerequisite to the AMI Teacher Diploma course is completion of the AMI Foundation Course, which is a 5-week full-time preparatory course run prior to the start of the 6-12 course. This course will be run at the Sydney Montessori Training Centre (SMTC) in February 2020.

This is a fantastic opportunity to attend an intensive course to discover the Montessori philosophy and approach to supporting child development. The course content includes the development of the 3-6 year old including an overview of the theory and concepts introduced in Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics and Culture. There is specific focus on the materials and activities that prepare the child for the 6-12 work.

This great insight will assist educators, parents, carers as well as those considering studying for the AMI 6-12 Diploma and the AMI 3-6 Diploma course in the future.
